Hamster Hamster (Phodopus sungorus, Pallas, 1773) is a small rodent of the subfamily hamster, coming originally from the steppes of southern and central Siberia, but it also occurs in Kazakhstan, Mongolia and northern China. It is interesting unusual behavior of the male, the female who assists childbirth and helps her take care of the chicks. It grows to a length of 9 cm and live for the maximum 2-3 years. Hamster Hamster is sexually mature at three months of age, but is most prolific around 8-12 months of age. Female after 22 days of pregnancy falls 4-8 blind and hairless pups. It is capable of reproduction, shortly after birth and up to 8 times a year.
